Pugh Moak PC had its start when Edgar W. Pugh Sr., as one of the first Internal Revenue Agents to leave the IRS, formed the firm as a tax oriented, appellate related firm in 1933. Mr. Pugh’s son, Edgar W. Pugh, Jr. joined the firm in 1971 after working in the real-estate division of an international oil company and the trust division of a major regional bank. In 1998, the firm was very pleased to add a third generation of lawyers with the addition of Mr. Pugh, Jr’s daughter, Diana P. Moak, who had previously worked at a litigation firm. The firm now focuses on estate planning, closely held corporations, tax planning, probate and trust administration and real estate.
