Nico (formally, Nicholas) Goodenow began his career at Pugh Moak P.C. as a law clerk during his first year in law school after meeting Ed and Diana at a Delta Theta Phi law fraternity event. Nico continued to work with Ed and Diana from 2019 through 2021, often only picking up boxes of documents to work on at home during the height of the Covid 19 pandemic. Ed and Diana helped to solidify Nico’s interest in estate planning, and it is the field he has continued to work in throughout both his educational and professional career.

After graduating from Wayne State University Law School and passing the 2022 bar exam, Nico worked at another law firm in Troy, where he specialized in estate planning, probate, and related litigation. Nico kept in touch with the Pugh Moak team and has returned to continue pursuing his passion for estate planning and probate under Diana’s mentorship.

Nico’s focus throughout law school and his career has been on estate planning and probate, and he enjoyed working at the Elder Law Advocacy Center during law school and performing pro bono work on probate matters sourced from Lakeshore Legal Aid. Nico is very excited to be back where he began his legal career and to continue to provide outstanding legal service to residents of the Metro Detroit area.
